Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how link-building-denmark.com ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit https://link-building-denmark.com, submit our contact form, or otherwise communicate with us. Denmark is part of the European Union, so we handle personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Danish data protection law.
1. Data controller
The data controller for this website is link-building-denmark.com. You can reach us at fabi@site-media.co.uk or by post at Vesterbrogade 74, 1620 København V, Denmark.
2. What data we collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, company name, and website URL when you submit the contact form or email us.
- Message content: the information you choose to include in your enquiry.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and basic server logs that may be generated when you visit the site.
- Consent records: confirmation that you agreed to this Privacy Policy when submitting a form.
We do not knowingly collect special-category (sensitive) personal data through this website. Please do not include sensitive information in form messages.
3. How we collect data
- Directly from you when you fill in the contact form or email us.
- Automatically through standard web server logs and any analytics tools we enable (see Cookies and analytics below).
4. Why we process your data (legal bases)
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): when you submit the contact form after ticking the consent checkbox, or when you opt into optional cookies or analytics.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to respond to business enquiries, operate and secure the website, and keep basic records of communications related to our services. We balance these interests against your rights and expectations.
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): where processing is needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform a contract once we work together.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): where we must retain or disclose information to meet accounting, tax, or other legal requirements.
5. How we use your data
- To reply to enquiries and discuss potential Danish link building work.
- To prepare proposals, samples, and campaign materials you request.
- To administer client relationships and deliver contracted services.
- To maintain website security, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Form submissions and Formspree
Contact form submissions are processed through Formspree, a third-party form backend. When you submit the form, the details you enter are transmitted to Formspree so we can receive and manage your message. In GDPR terms, Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf for that transmission and inbox handling.
Formspree's processing is governed by its own privacy documentation and contractual terms. We only use Formspree for enquiry handling. If you prefer not to use the form, email us directly at fabi@site-media.co.uk.
7. Cookies and analytics
This website is designed to work without non-essential tracking cookies. We may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage required for basic site function and security.
If we later enable analytics (for example, privacy-respecting analytics or Google Analytics), we will update this Policy, identify the provider, explain what is collected, and obtain consent where required before setting non-essential cookies. Until then, assume no marketing or advertising cookies are in use by us on this site.
Third-party embeds (such as a Google Maps iframe on the contact page) may set their own cookies or process technical data under their own policies when the embed loads. You can avoid that processing by not loading the contact page map or by adjusting your browser settings.
8. Sharing and international transfers
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the website and respond to enquiries (currently including Formspree and our hosting provider), and only to the extent needed for those purposes. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, as applicable for that provider.
9. Retention
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed for the purpose collected, then delete or anonymise it:
- Unsuccessful or general enquiries: typically up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for a dispute or legal claim.
- Client and contract-related records: for the life of the relationship and for a further period required by Danish bookkeeping and tax rules (often up to five to seven years for financial records).
- Server and security logs: for a shorter operational window, usually measured in weeks or a few months, unless needed to investigate an incident.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data in certain circumstances.
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Receive your data in a portable format where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
In Denmark, the supervisory authority is Datatilsynet (the Danish Data Protection Agency). You can find contact details on Datatilsynet's official website.
11. How to make a data request
To exercise your rights, email fabi@site-media.co.uk with the subject line "Data request" and enough detail for us to identify you and the request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to reply within one month, or to explain if an extension is allowed by law.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS for this website and access controls for enquiry inboxes. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
Our services are aimed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you should review the revised Policy.
