Challenge

A hospitality group with properties across several Danish cities relied heavily on OTAs and brand search. Destination and experience pages underperformed for non-branded city queries against independent hotels with stronger local press footprints.

Corporate content was polished but generic. Travel editors wanted local angles, seasonal timing, and Danish that read like a resident wrote it, not a translated brochure.

The group needed backlinks that could point to specific property and neighbourhood pages, stay above Ahrefs DR 25, and avoid spammy travel directories that would hurt brand perception with guests and partners.

Approach

We organised the brief by city clusters and seasons. Prospect samples covered travel, food, and city lifestyle publishers with traffic floors suited to destination intent. Property marketing managers approved hosts per city.

Native Danish writers produced neighbourhood guides, weekend itineraries, and food-focused pieces with natural property mentions. A minority of months used niche edits on strong indexed destination articles.

The shared sheet tagged each live URL by city and property so revenue managers could see which assets had editorial support before peak seasons. Delays were reallocated within the same city cluster when possible.
